The Pentacles and Timing

The suit of Pentacles represents the three earth signs in Astrology, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.  The King represents the Cardinal Earth sign Capricorn, the Queen represents the Fixed Earth sign Taurus, and the Knight represents the Mutable Earth sign Virgo.

Capricorn - December 22 to January 20

Timing With Tarot

If you want to use timing in Tarot readings or if timing is part of a question, this system of Astrological associations with the Minor Arcana cards provides a very good system for doing so.

Of the 56 cards in the Minor Arcana, 36 cards are associated with a ten day time period throughout the year.  These are the pip cards 2 through 10 in the four suits.
 
The Kings, Queens and Knights provide a 30 day time period which corresponds with the sign they represent.
 
The Aces and Pages cannot be used for precise timing, but can be associated with either a season or with the three signs they represent, and one or more of the three periods of time associated with those signs.
